Rivian R1S Deliveries to Start in June
Rivian has announced that the deliveries of their R1S model will start in June, with Adventure (large pack) models being delivered in June 2022 and Explore (large pack) models being delivered in the first half of 2023. This comes after customers were initially promised delivery windows ranging from April-May 2021 to September 2021.
The company had also promised an ‘Accounts’ page on their website where customers could view their order status but this feature is still not available yet. Customers have been waiting for months for updates on their orders and some are now seeing revised delivery dates as far out as 2024.
It appears that Rivian's customer service is unable to provide reliable information about when customers can expect their vehicles. Customers who had originally expected a March-April window back in December are now being told to expect delays until May or even June. Others who had expected a May/June window are now being told that the timing of further clarity on a new window is unknown.
