Polestar 2 electric sedan upgraded with Increased Range, Performance & Design for 2024 Model Year

Polestar has announced significant changes to its Polestar 2 electric sedan for the 2024 model year. The exterior of the vehicle will receive a facelift, along with several upgrades “under the hood” and a new rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant. The front grille is no longer about “breathing” for an internal combustion engine (ICE), but about “seeing” the road ahead. It features a front facing camera and mid-range radar. Additionally, the 20″ wheels included with the Performance Pack upgrade have been redesigned.

The powertrain has also been upgraded, with new batteries and powertrains. The single motor version of the Polestar 2 now comes in a RWD configuration, as opposed to FWD on previous models. This should provide a better driving experience, as well as improved efficiency.

Overall, these seem like very positive changes to an already impressive EV. The focus on making the front end a “Smart Zone” to better see the road is especially noteworthy. However, some may still find that the Polestar 2's efficiency leaves something to be desired. For those who prioritize range anxiety over efficiency, this shouldn't be too much of an issue.The Polestar 2 now offers up to an impressive 310 miles of range on a single charge. This is thanks to the new 78 kWh battery pack, which has been upgraded from the previous 75 kWh version. Additionally, power output has increased by 10 kW (13 hp) for a total of 408 hp and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of torque.

In addition to these upgrades, there are several other changes that should make the Polestar 2 even more attractive than before. The interior features improved materials and finishes throughout, as well as updated infotainment systems with larger displays and better voice recognition technology. There's also an optional panoramic sunroof available for those who want some extra natural light in their cabin space.

Overall, it looks like Polestar is doing everything they can to keep their flagship EV competitive in today's market place - adding more range & power while still keeping efficiency high enough not to be too much of a concern for most drivers out there looking at EVs right now!
