I drove over 1500 miles from San Diego to Gilbert AZ, then to Grand Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, back to Gilbert and finally Back home to San Diego.
What was the experience like compared to a Tesla?
The experience was not as smooth as with a Tesla due to EA's flakey network. Many of the locations I looked at had multiple (of only 4 chargers) broken. The lack of locations is also an issue with non-Tesla chargers.
How can I reset EA chargers if they are not working?
EA chargers have a 1-800 number on them. Call and they will be reset quickly. In most cases this is the problem.
How long does it take to call EA for help?
It usually takes less than 60 seconds to get connected when calling EA for help. However, some people have reported waiting up to 30 minutes.
Is there any hope for better charging networks in the future?
There is hope that Rivian can quickly build out their network and in parallel we get a much better open network built out quickly. Rivian is already working on this and it looks promising.
